Must be licensed to practice law in Minnesota. Wisconsin and North Dakota license preferred.
Paralegal
Tomsche, Sonnesyn & Tomsche, P.A. is a civil litigation law firm located in St. Louis Park, seeks self-motivated paralegal to join our team.
Responsibilities of the Paralegal
- Organize and manage file documents
- Interview clients and witnesses
- Draft discovery responses and required disclosures under the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Gather and summarize medical records
- Prepare IME letters
- Assist attorneys in preparation for depositions, mediation and trial
- Assist attorneys at trial
- Other assigned tasks
Qualifications of the Paralegal
- Review, analyzing, and summarizing medical records
- Strong writing skills
- Confident communication skills with clients and opposing counsel
- Proficiency in word
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
- Comfortable with technology
Qualifications of the paralegal candidate will have 2 to 4 years law experience in personal injury litigation.

Law Clerk
Tomsche, Sonnesyn & Tomsche, P.A. seeks a self-motivated law clerk to join our team. Responsibilities include organizing and managing documents, reviewing file materials for relevancy and responsiveness prior to production, reviewing opposing parties’ production and provide summary and preliminary analysis, provide initial case law research and review at attorney direction, and assisting attorneys in preparation for depositions, mediation and trial. Law clerks at Tomsche, Sonnesyn & Tomsche are encourage to act as law student practitioner as provided by Supervised Practice Rules. A successful candidate should have two years of law school experience (emphasis in civil litigation is preferred); strong writing and verbal communication skills; strong research skills, including Westlaw and other legal research tools; confident communication skills with clients and opposing counsel; ability to manage time and prioritize tasks; interest in and ability to work with e-discovery tools and case management software.
